Whew! It has been a bit hectic around our house this week and it's only Wednesday! Monday had the typical shuttling between school, karate and bootcamp. Thank goodness we had the week off from choir because we have last minute chores to do around the house to get ready for Adam's parents' visit. So Monday I painted the front door. We also had to devise a Grinch themed costume for Campbell to wear to school yesterday for Grinch Day. Since neither of us are big fans of the color green and do not own anything green, we decided Cindy Lou Who would be a good idea. So, here's Campbell's best Cindy Lou Who Tuesday morning. Pretty darn cute if I do say so myself!
Yesterday was a full day at work for me as we are in the process of launching a new website here at Centre and had the big brainstorming meeting for the alumni portion of that site yesterday afternoon. The meeting that was scheduled for an hour and a half took FOUR hours - which put me late getting home. So Campbell and I scrambled to make sure she had clean jammers for Polar Express Day at school today (I really wish I was still a first grader with all the holiday themed fun they are having this week!), I painted the new, unfinished door on the laundry room and baked 27 cookies for CJ to take to school today. All in a 90 minute period before I dropped her for her annual holiday fun at her Aunt Debbie's house (a veritable winter wonderland of decorations) before I went to another painting class. I arrived a few minutes late (stinking cookies wouldn't bake) and I never really got into a calm painting mode. As a result, it's not my best work but it was still a fun evening with great friends.
Today the Christmas week begins in our house as Adam's parents - aka Gannie and Popper - get in for a few days so we can do an early Christmas celebration with them. Then a birthday weekend/UK game with Peepaw and straight into the actual holiday! It's a busy but fun time of year and we are officially off to the races!
