As Mom mentioned, we moved a couple of weeks ago and have been up to our eye balls in painting and unpacking and settling in. I'm thrilled to report that we are about 90% done. We are sufficiently settled that Campbell has decided she wants to show her new digs to all her buddies. So, Thursday we are having a mini-Halloween bash - nothing fancy just pizza before trick-or-treat. Our new neighborhood is one of the best in the county for ToT.
The excitement of having friends over and the impending sugar rush holiday that means Campbell gets to wear make-up, even if said make-up is white face paint to make her look like a vampire, has our little ghoul all amped up. So, yesterday, while Adam and I were painting the kitchen/living room she was inspired by the Halloween themed cooking show on TV to make us Frankentreats - a deliciously green snack she learned at school.
She made a shopping list for Adam who was dispatched to Kroger after he finished painting above the cabinets (he's only allowed to paint where you can't really see it). Then our little chef set out to make three Frankentreats - one for each of us. The super simple, no cook treats basically consist of colored pudding and smashed up Oreos in a glass with a scary face on it. But she made them all by herself and was very proud of her efforts.
