One thing I never get tired of in Central Kentucky is the beautiful horse farms with their wonderful horses and horse barns. Spring time in particular is a real treat as you drive through the farms and see the foals and their mothers. Breathtaking.
Last Saturday, Peepaw and I took a trek through horse country in search of barn photos for my post today at Focusing on Life. If you'd like to read more about it and see even more wonderful photos, I hope you'll visit me over there.
The final "assignment" for this little exercise is "fav beverage, through your window". This is through my window, in case you wondered. To make it a bit more interesting, I shot through the hexagonal window that looks out over our garden. What you see here is about all that is left blooming. The dry summer has caused our garden to dry up even earlier than usual. I have been able to keep most of the potted flowers in good shape.
My fav beverage is tea ... hot ... iced ... any kind of tea will do.
That's it for Pieces of Me, I hope you've enjoyed seeing these as much as I've enjoyed looking for them.
The photos I've been sharing with you the past couple of days are part of an online class that I'm doing with Kim Klassen who I've mentioned many times before on these pages. Our "assignments" for the week are to share pieces of ourselve and there are two suggestions for each day.
Yesterday, one suggestion was "the mailbox". Well, I skipped this one because I didn't think our mailbox was anything special ... at least not until this morning when I went to get the paper. This sight sent me scampering back into the house for my camera.
Yes ... this is my kitchen sink. That is the focus for today. What more can I say?
Stay tuned for tomorrow and I'll be back with some more pieces of me. And, no, I'm not going to tell you ahead of time what those pieces are.
